Click on our Incentives tab to learn more…

In the solar market, incentives are declining quickly because as demand rises, subsidies drop.  These savings make solar power more affordable, but they won’t last forever, so take the first step now towards your energy independence and determine if your property is SUITABLE FOR SOLAR!!!

If your property “solar friendly”, we will come out to evaluate your site and give you a proposal for K-Star to do the installation, or a proposal to purchase our Do It Yourself Kit!

AN APPOINTMENT FOR A FULL CONSULTATION IS OF ABSOLUTELY NO COST TO YOU.

Determining your Solar-Friendliness!
Is your Property Solar Suitable?

These 3 variables are key to ensure your system would run at optimum efficiency.  As long as you generally meet these 3 criteria, you can GO GREEN with solar electricity!

LIPA uses these requirements in order to qualify for their SOLAR PIONEER REBATE PROGRAM.

  1. Orientation – The area where solar panels work best is in a southern orientation.  It can be as far as just south of due west, and just south of due east, as the north side gets no sun in the winter months, and would result in a major loss of solar electric output.

  2. Shading – Obstructions from trees or any structures in the sun’s path may be an issue.  Small obstructions may be acceptable, such as chimneys or minimal roof shading, also considering trimming or removing a couple of trees might be necessary for maximum output of a solar electric system.

  3. Pitch – The slant of your roof should be between 20 and 35 degrees.  The area can be steeper or more flat, then it is more important that the other 2 variables are met.

IF YOU MEET OR ARE NOT SURE IF YOU MAY MEET THESE CRITERIA, GO TO www.maps.live.com OR
